The CEI Survey is carried out through the country in both malls and town areas.
The Survey encompasses balance enquiries to test the transaction time on the network and a series of questions on the following:
● Cashier satisfaction
● Cost of debit POS (as % of response)
● Average number of swipes
● Average response time
● How often merchants settle their terminals
● When merchants were last surveyed
● Merchants practicing floor limit
● Merchants surcharging
● Cashier satisfaction trend
● Most used method of payment by customers
● Merchants’ awareness of new members
● Identification of issues, such as bank card and terminal malfunctions
The CEI Survey is carried out by authorized representatives of ISL, the member banks and Market Facts & Opinions. The results of the survey, along with comments and issues, are forwarded to the member banks to assist in improving the network, the services and respond to merchants’ issues. Please note, personal and security information is not asked in the survey, eg. PIN numbers, account numbers and any bank information. Please do not give out this information to anyone.
